Hey guys! For this weeks post I made up a short scene about that was actually briefly mentioned in the book by Christina. Hope you like it!
I walk through the cold tunnels of dauntless, my heels clipping at the same rate as my heart. Fast, and fluttery. I don’t know whats wrong with me. Just this morning, I punched Molly full in the face without even flinching. Now, my palms are sweating and my heart is racing and I am tongue tied, all over a boy? But really, Will isn’t just a boy. He’s sweet, and funny, and smart, and he likes me. The cold radiates from the stone tunnel and I feel it creeping into my mind. Tendrils of doubt sneak about the shadows of my mind. What if he does’t like me? What if this is just another one of those Dauntless jokes? No! I think, He’s different. I just know it! I come to a stop by a large, heavy gray door. When I first came here, to Dauntless, I would have had trouble pushing that door open. I might've shoved and pushed with all my weight and still have difficulty. Instead a give it a shove with my shoulder and step out into the cool air. The fluttering of my heart seems to give me wings as I break into a sprint next to the blur of the train. The physical exertion is a welcome distraction from the twisting of my stomach, at least until I see who else is in the train car. Green eyes. Fair hair, like spun gold. Pale skin. Pink lips that twist into a grin the instant he sees me. “You came,” He says, with that adorable smile. I just shrug and smile. I don’t trust myself to say the right thing. Fortunately, Will does’t seem to care. He pats a spot on the metal train bench next to him and I slump down. We sit quietly, our knees touching, watching the scenery whiz by as the train speeds along the tracks. Of course, my stupid Candor mouth breaks the silence, as easily as a Dauntless might break a glass. “So,” I say. Stupid, I think, why would you say that. But Will of course just turns to look at me, a slow smile spreading across his face. “So,” he says, but when he says it he sounds sophisticated and smart. We go back to staring out the train windows. "Where exactly are we going?" I ask. "Well, umm. I uhhh..." he stutters, and I feel myself break into a crooked grin and roll my eyes. It is just like Will to plan out a date and then forget to decide where to go. "I uh... figured we could just walk y'know?" he says, and I can't hold back a peal of laughter. Pretty soon he's laughing with me, and after a few minutes we sit leaning on each other, holding back giggles. "So," I say, and that sets us off once again. Eventually, we stop laughing, and lapse into regular conversation. We ride the train around the city, and eventually we are near the Dauntless compound. Will jumps first, and he catches me as soon as I hit the roof near him. We hold hands as we jump down into the hole, where we know and trust that the big, black net is waiting. He helps me down, but never lets go of my hand, his palm warm against mine. We walk around Dauntless compound, talking, and then suddenly he simply leans towards me and kisses me. And then suddenly I am just taking again, like nothing ever happened, and thats when I realize. Will is the one. This is the guy I have been searching for all my life, and suddenly I kiss him. It is over too soon, but I know if anyone were to see us we would be in a real mess so I just grin, and let go of his hand and wander back into the Initiate Dormitories. Tris looks up and I can't keep the grin off my face. "Tris, can you be a girl for a second?" I ask. "I'm always a girl" she says, frowning, and I roll my eyes. "You know what I mean. Like a silly, annoying girl," I explain. She twirls a lock of her blond hair. "Kay," she says cautiously. " Suddenly a bubbly feeling rises up and I can't stop myself from grinning so big I think my face will crack. "Will kissed me" I manage to get out, and Tris squeals.
K thats all for this week comment what y'all think ;)
